JOB SUMMARY

 

Responsible for managing the issuance, dispensing, and monitoring of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) for operational equipment and vehicles. The role ensures accurate record-keeping, compliance with safety and environmental standards, and efficient fuel utilization to support seamless operations. The AGO Officer also conducts regular stock reconciliations, maintains fueling equipment, and collaborates with logistics teams to optimize fuel management processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Fuel Issuance & Dispensing

    • Dispense AGO (diesel) to mobile equipment as approved on fuel vouchers.
    • Ensure accuracy in the quantity and quality of AGO dispensed.

Inspection & Compliance

    • Conduct thorough inspections of AGO dispensing equipment for proper functionality and safety compliance.
    • Maintain good housekeeping at fueling stations and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
    • Strict adherence to internal controls

Record-Keeping & Reporting

    • Document AGO transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of refueling activities.
    • Monitor AGO usage, analyze data, and prepare periodic reports for management review.

Stock Management

    • Carry out monthly stock counts and generate signed reports.
    • Identify and report discrepancies or issues in AGO inventory.

Problem Resolution

    • Address issues during refueling, such as equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
    • Collaborate with logistics and inventory teams to streamline fuel movement and reduce discrepancies.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

 

  • HND or B.Sc. in a relevant discipline (e.g., Engineering, Logistics, or Accounting).
  • 2–3 years in fuel issuance operations or logistics; shift-based work experience is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management systems.
  • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred.
