JOB TITLE – WEIGHBRIDGE OFFICER
Mission Role: To ensure accurate and transparent weighing of all inbound and outbound trucks, maintain reliable weighbridge records, and enforce compliance with company policies to support effective inventory management, stock reconciliation, and logistics operations.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, Attributes and Experiences
- High attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is an added advantage.
Experience and Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in warehousing, tallying, or logistics operations.
Job Description / Key Responsibilities
- Weigh incoming and outgoing trucks, ensuring weighbridge processes are strictly followed.
- Ensure no occupants remain in vehicles during truck weighing.
- Maintain maximum accuracy when entering data into the system.
- Generate and print clear and accurate weighment tickets/waybills, ensuring all required fields are completed and legible.
- Ensure trucks are properly positioned before weighing.
- Facilitate the entry of self-collection domestic trucks from the external queue, ensuring strict adherence to the sequence recorded in the queue register.
- Return trucks that are underweight or overweight to the plant, document the details on the reverse side of the ATC, and promptly report on the group platform.
- Immediately escalate dispatch error messages to the responsible department for resolution.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, escalating health, safety, security incidents, or emergencies immediately.
- Submit accurate daily reports of activities, highlighting unresolved issues for the attention of the Shift Supervisor or succeeding shift.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor or HOD.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
