Job Summary

 

The Head of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading all sales and marketing functions for DPL. The role focuses on developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive sales growth, strengthen customer relationships, expand into new markets (domestic and export), and ensure the company’s competitive position in the industrial packaging sector.

 

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Sales Strategy & Business Development

  • Formulate and implement sales strategies to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability targets for PP woven bags.
  • Identify and develop new customers across sectors.
  • Manage key accounts and ensure long-term customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop the export business by identifying distributors, agents, and end-users in targeted regions.
  • Prepare and review sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.

 

Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients through regular communication, visits, and technical support.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules in coordination with production and logistics teams.
  • Address customer complaints promptly and ensure high standards of after-sales service.

 

Marketing & Brand Development

  • Design and execute marketing campaigns to promote PP woven products such as laminated bags, BOPP printed bags, liner bags, FIBCs, and custom-printed sacks.
  • Oversee the development of marketing materials, product catalogs, and digital content.
  • Participate in industry exhibitions, trade fairs, and conferences to enhance brand visibility.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify new opportunities and trends.

 

Coordination & Operations

  • Collaborate closely with the production, quality control, and supply chain departments to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time and meet required specifications.
  • Provide input to R&D and product development teams for innovations like UV-resistant bags, anti-slip coatings, or recyclable options.
  • Implement efficient sales processes, reporting systems, and CRM tools.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Qualifications, Experience

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or  related discipline.
  • A Master’s degree is an added advantage
  • Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in sales and marketing within the PP woven bags, FIBC or related industrial packaging industry,
  • Proven experience managing key industrial accounts and leading a sales team.
  • Strong understanding of woven sacks manufacturing processes (extrusion, weaving, laminating, printing and stitching).
  • Experience with both domestic and export markets preferred.
