Assistant HEMM Foreman

Job Summary

• The Assistant HEMM Foreman supports the HEMM Foreman in the day‑to‑day safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the mechanical workshop and field maintenance activities. The role ensures preventive and corrective maintenance of heavy earthmoving equipment (HEMM) is carried out according to manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and company procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Support planning, scheduling, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance for HEMM.
• Supervise technicians and mechanics during repair, overhaul, and inspection of equipment.
• Assist in diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Ensure dismantling, repair, and reassembly of equipment using appropriate tools and lifting devices.
• Verify quality of completed repairs through testing and inspection before equipment release.
• Monitor housekeeping, tool control, and workshop cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with HSE rules, safe work procedures, and lock‑out/tag‑out practices.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, job cards, and service reports.
• Assist in identifying spare parts requirements and controlling spare usage.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and OEM instructions.
• Perform any other duty assign by your hierarchy.
