JOB ROLE
General Manager - Sales & Marketing (Dangote Sinotruk)
JOB PURPOSE
To provide strategic and operaƟonal leadership for sales and markeƟng acƟviƟes of Dangote Sinotruk in Nigeria, with the objecƟve of achieving sustainable revenue growth, market leadership, brand strength, and customer saƟsfacƟon in the heavy-duty truck segment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Drive sales of locally assembled heavy-duty trucks, special-purpose vehicles, and related products.
- Identify and develop new market opportunities across construction, mining, logistics, manufacturing, oil & gas, and government sectors.
Dealer & Distribution Management
- Establish, manage, and expand an effective nationwide dealer and distributor network.
- Set dealer performance standards and ensure compliance with Dangote Sinotruk brand and operational guidelines.
Key Accounts & Institutional Sales
- Lead fleet sales, corporate accounts, and government/institutional engagements.
- Oversee tender submissions, contract negotiations, and execution of major sales agreements.
Marketing & Brand Management
- Develop and execute marketing and brand strategies to enhance market visibility and competitiveness.
- Oversee product launches, promotions, exhibitions, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to guide decision-making.
Leadership & Governance
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales and marketing team to deliver high performance.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with Dangote Group policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related discipline.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience, with at least 5 years at senior management level.
- Strong background in automoƟve, heavy-duty trucks, commercial vehicles, or industrial sales.
- Proven experience in dealer management, fleet sales, and Nigerian market operations.
