Specific Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Fleet Officer is to assist in the day-to-day management of the fleet including vehicles, drivers and maintenance.
  • To conduct routine inspection of trucks to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  •  Ensures good liaison with the workshop team for repairs of trucks at the workshop
  • To carry out inspection of trucks under his routes to avoid misuse by drivers
  •  Ensure customers’ products are delivered as requested
  • Ensures teamwork and conjunction with logistics department at Dangote sugar refinery
  • He should report daily highway breakdowns, accidents and trucks under Police, FRSC custody through the fleet manager
  • He provides prescribed number of trucks for loading on daily basis
  • He performs any other function as may be directed by the management.

 Skills And Competencies:

  • A Bsc, HND, diploma or equivalent certificate with minimum of 3years in any related field
  • Basic knowledge of fleet management practices and principles
  • Highly computer literate( Microsoft office)
  • Ability to handle conflict and resolve differences of opinion
  • Familiar with fleet management software and technology
