Centrifugal Operator

 

Job Summary:

Responsible for operating and monitoring centrifugal machines to separate sugar crystals from mother liquor during refining process.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Operate and monitor centrifugal machines to efficiently purge molasses from sugar massecuite.

  • Observe sugar crystal color and quality during the purging cycle to ensure process standards are met.

  • Set and adjust operational parameters (speed, cycle time, wash water) on centrifugal machines.

  • Assist in maintaining centrifugal machines and auxiliary equipment in good working condition.

  • Maintain station housekeeping and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across all unit activities.

  • Ensure full compliance with QMS, FSSC, OHSAS, and other active management systems within the department.

  • Perform other duty assignments as directed by the Shift Centrifugal Supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

  • OND in science related discipline with little or no experience/ High School certificate holder with experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years working experience in Food and Beverage industry.
  • Experience in separation/centrifugation process with reference to sugar liquor in an added advantage.
