Corporate Affairs Manager

Job Summary

As the Corporate Affairs Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and safeguarding the reputation of Dangote Sugar Refinery. This position is central to managing stakeholder relationships, driving strategic communications, and promoting a consistent, positive corporate image across all platforms. You will be the voice of the brand, ensuring alignment between business objectives and public perception.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Communication & Branding
    • Develop and implement annual Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) and digital media plans aligned with business goals.
    • Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels and campaigns.
  • Public Relations & Media Engagement
    • Manage relationships with PR and communication agencies for impactful activations.
    • Secure press coverage, write compelling press releases, and foster media partnerships to amplify corporate actions.
  • Internal Communication & Publications
    • Collaborate with HR and other functions to implement internal communication strategies.
    • Act as editor for Dangote Sugar Rerinery’s monthly bulletin and oversee production of corporate literature and publications.
  • Digital Media & Content Development
    • Oversee creative teams to produce engaging content for social media, newsletters, and internal platforms.
    • Drive influencer marketing campaigns and monitor digital engagement metrics.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
    • Coordinate CSR initiatives, partnerships, and volunteer programs to enhance corporate reputation.
    • Organize fairs, exhibitions, sponsorships, and community engagement activities.
  • Monitoring & Reporting
    • Track and analyze Public Relations (PR) and media impact, preparing regular reports on communication effectiveness using KPIs.
  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Mentor and guide team members, conduct quarterly KPI reviews, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in mass communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
    • A Master’s degree or professional certification in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing is an added advantage.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 8–10 years progressive experience in Corporate Affairs, Public Relations, or Strategic Communications.
    • At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role within a reputable organization.
    • Proven track record in managing corporate reputation, media relations, and CSR initiatives.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Strong Public Relations and corporate communications skills.
    • Excellent team management, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic thinking, business acumen, and problem-solving ability.
    • Ability to manage cross-functional collaboration and drive results.
