Location: Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals
Job Summary
To provide strategic and operational leadership for all fleet technology platforms and digital systems, ensuring their availability, reliability, integration, security, continuous improvement and effective utilisation across the organization.
The role is responsible for managing and improving the organisation's electronic fleet-control ecosystem, including Electronic Locking Systems, SAP, Parking Application, AI Cameras, EPOD, Biometrics, Truck Washing Systems and other programming/software platforms.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Electronic Locking System
• Own the administration, performance and continuous improvement of the Electronic Locking System.
• Ensure effective control of electronic locks installed on trucks and at operational locations.
• Monitor system availability, failures, exceptions and unauthorised access.
• Coordinate troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades and vendor support.
• Develop controls to prevent bypass, tampering and system abuse.
SAP Systems
• Manage and provide functional/administrative support for SAP modules used by the organisation.
• Ensure system users have appropriate access and roles.
• Coordinate with SAP/IT teams on incidents, enhancements and integrations.
• Support SAP process improvement and automation.
• Ensure accurate system configuration, master data and transaction processes.
• Develop reports and dashboards required for fleet operations.
Parking Application
• Manage the parking management application and associated user processes.
• Ensure accurate truck entry, parking, movement and exit records.
• Monitor system performance and resolve operational issues.
• Improve parking workflows and integrate the application with other fleet systems where required.
AI Camera Systems
• Manage AI-enabled camera systems deployed across fleet and operational locations.
• Monitor system performance and availability.
• Ensure AI cameras effectively support driver behaviour monitoring, safety, security and compliance.
• Analyse alerts and exceptions generated by the system.
• Coordinate camera installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrades.
• Work with Fleet Control and Security teams to convert camera data into actionable interventions.
EPOD System
• Manage the Electronic Proof of Delivery (EPOD) platform.
• Ensure successful capture and transmission of delivery confirmation.
• Monitor system adoption and data accuracy.
• Resolve EPOD-related operational issues.
• Integrate EPOD information with SAP, TMS and other relevant systems.
• Develop reports for delivery performance and exception management.
Driver Biometrics
• Manage biometric systems used for employee, driver and fleet access/control.
• Ensure accurate enrolment and authentication.
• Monitor system availability and data integrity.
• Manage authorised access and user administration.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and integration with HR/HCM and other systems.
Truck Washing System
• Manage the truck washing application/system and associated automation.
• Monitor truck washing activities, system utilisation and exceptions.
• Ensure washing records are accurately captured against individual trucks.
• Improve system workflow and integration with fleet maintenance/operations systems.
Programming & Software Development
• Lead programming, configuration and enhancement of internally developed applications.
• Translate operational requirements into system specifications.
• Coordinate software development, testing, UAT and deployment.
• Ensure proper version control, documentation and change management.
• Work with internal and external developers to deliver system improvements.
• Promote automation of manual fleet processes.
System Integration.
• Drive integration between SAP, TMS, EPOD, electronic locks, parking, biometrics, AI cameras and other fleet platforms.
• Ensure systems exchange accurate and timely data.
• Identify duplication, data gaps and process inefficiencies.
• Develop an integrated digital fleet ecosystem
System Performance & Governance
• Establish system KPIs, SLAs and performance standards.
• Monitor system uptime, incidents, response times and resolution rates.
• Maintain system documentation, user manuals and technical procedures.
• Ensure appropriate user access, cybersecurity controls and data protection.
• Manage vendors and service providers.
• Prepare periodic management reports on system performance and improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements
Education and Work Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline.
• Professional certifications in SAP, IT systems, software development, cybersecurity or project management are advantageous.
• 8–12 years' relevant experience, preferably including systems administration, enterprise applications and fleet/transport technology.
• Demonstrable experience managing multiple technology platforms and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of SAP and system integration.
• Experience with APIs, databases, software applications and programming environments.
• Experience managing technology projects from requirements through UAT and Go-Live.
