Belt Vulcanizer

Job Summary

Execution of all emergencies and planned belt vulcanizing activities in the plant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Repair and replacement of damaged belt conveyors
• Carrying out routine inspection of conveyors
• Production of short endless belts and weigh feeders
• Ensuring that worn our idlers, laggings, are identified and replaced
• Ability to make cold, hot and clipped joints

Education and Work Experience

• WASC/GCE/SSCE +15 years’ experience
• TTII + 10 years’ experience
• TT1 + 5 years’ experience

OND IN RELEVANT DISCIPLINE Skills and Competencies

• Good communication skills
• Good knowledge of belt vulcanizing work and principles
• Excellent interpersonal skills
