- Spearhead the implementation of Industrial Relations, Employee Welfare, and Immigration matters to ensure efficient management of human capital in the organisation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of DCP and DCZL’s approved employee relations programs in the Company.
- Responsible for maintenance and sustenance of employee discipline in line with laid down company policies and procedures.
- Drive the coordination of employee surveys to monitor the emerging trends.
- Communicate DCZL’s overall objectives to HODs and ensure mutual understanding of roles, responsibilities and accountabilities in the Company.
- Handle all Labour related litigation issues working with company lawyers and other stakeholders.
- Process the exit procedures of staff by ensuring all requirements are undertaken such as exit interviews, Post retirement Issues or separation.
- Administration and recruitment of new staff to the Dangote In-house Penson Scheme.
- Oversee processing and requirements of employment permits and other visa requirement for expatriate staff.
- Provide guidance and facilitation on employee engagement programmes and employee value proposition activities.
- Coordinate issues of diversity and worker inclusiveness and participation.
- Serve as secretariate and focal point person in all Industrial Relations matters such as collective bargaining issues, JCC and general employee welfare.
- Conduct periodical employee relations reviews and update of Employee Relations Policies and Procedures to suit current trends.
- Escalate administrative issues to Head HR or relevant Head Office function for speedy resolution
- Manage the department’s annual employee related recognition & award budget as per approved expenditure.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the General Manager & Head of HAM and Administration
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a Social Sciences or related discipline.
- Minimum of ten (10) years relevant work experience with at least four (4) years in a senior management position
- Mining or Manufacturing background will be added advantage
