Logistics Analyst

Responsible for analysing, optimising, and managing third party transport

operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Collect, analyze, and interpret logistics and supply chain data to support business

decisions

· Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track logistics performance and

trends.

· Assist in weekly and monthly forecasting demand and planning inventory levels to

optimize stock availability.

· Identify inefficiencies in transportation, warehousing, and inventory management,

proposing actionable solutions.

· Assist the Head of Logistics in enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and

ensuring timely delivery of goods to and from plant by third party transporters.

· Vendor and Carrier Coordination: Assist in contract negotiations, manage

relationships with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers, and resolve

operational disruptions.

· Own Daily, Weekly and Monthly Performance Measurement & Reporting at

departmental and Business Unit Level.

· Third Party Transporters: Own Customer & Segment Analysis to inform strategic

and tactical interventions.

· Develop & implement a robust Data Strategy including automation and modelling

Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in cross-functional

projects.

· Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Business, Economics, Statistics or a related

discipline.

· Full Grade 12 School Certificate

· Proficiency Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & MySQL or PowerBI

· Minimum of four (4) years relevant work experience.

Basic understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislation

relating to the cement manufacturing industry.

Good knowledge of DCP’s product and service offerings.

· Strong administration skills – organised, thorough, and able to effectively leverage

technology with attention to detail

Very good communication skills.

· Good problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work well within a team.

· Proficiency in the use of MS Office
