Job Summary:

The Head of Operations (HOO)  Inbound  will oversee the inbound logistics operations of Dangote Group, ensuring a seamless flow of materials and products from suppliers to production sites. This role includes managing relationships with vendors, optimizing logistics processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage inbound logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics processes and reduce costs while improving service levels.
  • Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials in accordance with production schedules.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and third-party logistics partners to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding logistics operations.
  • Develop and maintain logistics performance metrics to monitor efficiencies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular reviews of logistical operations and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Train and mentor team members to enhance performance and develop skills within the inbound logistics department.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on logistics performance and improvement initiatives.

Requirements: Educational and Work Experience:

  • B.Sc. in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or related areas.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a managerial position with a proven track record in inbound logistics management.
