HEMM Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

The HEMM Maintenance Manager at Dangote Cement Plc responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimal performance of heavy earth-moving equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities on HEMM equipment.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic faults on HEMM.
• Conducting routine inspections and condition monitoring to identify potential equipment failures.
• Developing maintenance schedules and ensuring timely execution of maintenance plans.
• Preparing maintenance reports, equipment history records, and technical documentation.
• Coordinating with operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Managing spare parts requirements and ensuring availability of critical components. Forecasting the parts requirement.
• Providing technical training to technicians.
• Equipment commissioning, testing, and acceptance inspections.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or it's equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years working experience with the equipments such as Dumpers (HD785 & CAT777 dumpers, Sany SAT40, Terex TA400) Excavators (Liebherr R9100/R9150/R980, Volvo EC950, Komatsu PC950-11R, XCMG XE950DA) and Drills (Sunward SD650, Epiroc D60/DM30, Revathi REL650).
• Experience as service engineer with OEM (KOMATSU/CAT/EPIROC) will be an additional advantage
• Ability to read HEMM system schematics and knowledge of an advanced troubleshooting skills.
