Mechanical Technician

Job Summary

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the routine maintenance on mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, conveyors, kiln, Cooler & Bucket elevator).

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, conveyors, kiln, Cooler & Bucket elevator).
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical faults promptly.
• Document maintenance activities and report issues to supervisors.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Participate in plant shutdowns, overhauls, and emergency repairs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or sectional heads

Requirements

• OND, Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience.
• Good practical and technical skills.
• An understanding of engineering drawings and principles.
• Communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
