Job Summary
The Central Maintenance Manager oversees all mechanical maintenance activities across the cement plant, ensuring equipment reliability, optimal resource allocation, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. This leadership role drives strategic maintenance planning and continuous improvement to support plant performance objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive maintenance strategies and schedules for all plant assets.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise maintenance teams, including engineers and technicians.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs, budget compliance, and resource utilization.
- Coordinate major maintenance shutdowns and capital projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards in all maintenance activities.
- Drive root cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Prepare reports and present maintenance performance to senior management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by plant leadership.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive maintenance experience, with at least five (5) years in a supervisory or managerial role within heavy industry.
