Sectional Head, Kiln

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Sectional Head, Kiln at Dangote - Okpella Cement Limited who will be tasked with managing the mechanical integrity and operational efficiency of the kiln section. This position ensures optimal kiln performance, leads maintenance activities, and supports process improvements to achieve production and quality goals.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical operations and maintenance of the kiln and associated equipment.
• Develop and execute maintenance schedules, including shutdown planning and execution.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues affecting kiln performance.
• Coordinate with process and electrical teams for integrated operational support.
• Monitor kiln performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Lead and develop technical staff within the kiln section.
• Training new and existing staff on safety procedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Head of Mechanical.

Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in cement plant operations with at least 5 years in a supervisory role in the kiln section
