 Job Summary

The Assistant Cane Mill Fitters will assist in the maintenance and repair of cane mill equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operation of the mill. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, hardworking technician with a willingness to learn and grow in sugar mill operations. They should be reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to the success of the milling team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of cane mill equipment, including knives, shredders, and crushing mills.
• Perform routine inspections and monitoring of equipment to identify potential issues.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems, collaborating with fitters and other support teams as needed.
• Develop and implement minor modifications to equipment and processes to improve efficiency and safety.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards.
• Assist in training and development of apprentices and junior staff.

Educational Qualification and Work Experience

• Shall hold the minimum of SSCE
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience.
