HSE Officer
Job Summary
Responsible for implementing and monitoring safety, health, and environmental policies to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company standards. conducts risk assessments, enforcing safe work practices, train employees on HSE procedures, and promoting a proactive safety culture. Investigates incidents, prepares reports, and recommends corrective actions to prevent recurrence while supporting continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental sustainability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly/monthly HSE performance reports.
- Maintain accurate HSE records and documentation.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Coordinate fire drills and evacuation exercises.
- Monitor waste disposal and environmental compliance.
- Support sustainability initiatives- Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and risk assessments for all operations.
- Identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety drills, and refresher training sessions.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts and prepare detailed incidents reports and root cause analysis.
Educational Qualification and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or Related Field.
- NEBOSH IGC, ISPON Certification, OSHA Training, ISO 45001 & 14001 Lead Auditor, IOSH Managing Safely and Membership of a recognized HSE professional body (e.g., ISPON)
