Job Summary
The Instrument Shift Engineers (Local) to support the operation and maintenance of instrumentation systems in our 4000 Tons Cane per Day (TCD) sugar mill. The role involves monitoring, calibrating, and troubleshooting instruments and control systems during assigned shifts to ensure reliable and efficient mill operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain process control instruments, sensors, transmitters, and gauges across the mill.
- Ensure accurate measurement of parameters such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level.
- Respond promptly to instrumentation alarms and faults during shifts.
- Perform routine calibration and testing of instruments to maintain accuracy.
- Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of control systems, PLCs, and automation equipment.
- Support troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
- Provide continuous instrumentation support during crushing operations.
- Coordinate with operations, electrical, and mechanical teams to resolve issues.
- Adhere to safety standards and ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation of calibration, maintenance, and repair activities.
Educational Qualification and Work Experience
- Shall hold the minimum of Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Certificate in Instrumentation, Control Systems or Process Control.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Similar role, preferably in process industry.
