Job Summary

With knowledge of designing, implementing and maintaining the mechanical components of the hydraulic components of a drip irrigation system. This position will play an important role in analyzing irrigation needs, selecting appropriate equipment and tools [pumps, filters, valves etc.] and ensuring the system operates efficiently and reliably.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Overseeing installation of mechanical components of a drip irrigation system including pumps, valves, filters, fertigation systems and other components.
• Analyze irrigation needs and system requirements.
• Troubleshooting and maintaining the mechanical components for optimal performance.
• Participate in feasibility studies for new drip irrigation projects, assessing the mechanical infrastructure requirement.
• Collaboration with project managers, construction and electrical teams.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards, maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance and inventory.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Educational Qualification and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or any related field
• Proficient in hydraulics, fluid mechanics and dynamics, irrigation systems and mechanical principles
• Basic knowledge of irrigation system components and their operations
