MILL ENGINEER -4000 TCD MILL OPERATION

 Job Summary

The Mill Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations of the mill, ensuring efficient and safe production of high-quality sugar. This challenging and rewarding role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise daily milling operations to achieve targeted crushing capacity (4000 TCD).
• Monitor and control process parameters to maximize sugar recovery and minimize losses.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for mill machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and coordinate timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Oversee spare parts inventory and procurement planning.
• Analyze milling performance data and recommend improvements in efficiency and throughput.
• Implement best practices in cane preparation, juice extraction, and energy utilization.
• Lead, mentor, and train local engineering and technical staff.
• Ensure effective communication across departments (boiler, process house, power generation).
• Prepare technical reports, budgets, and performance reviews for senior management.

Educational Qualification and Work Experience

• Shall hold the minimum of B-Tech/BE/BSc / HND in Mechanical Engineering.
• COREN, NSE or Any related professional qualification.
• Certificate on Sugar Engineering will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in mill operation and maintenance within a sugar or similar process industry.
