Job Summary

The Powerhouse Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing the mechanical integrity, maintenance, and performance of all Steam turbines systems within the cogeneration plant. This role ensures the steam turbines are operated and maintained safely, efficiently, and reliably in compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and operational goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise daily mechanical operations and inspections of steam turbo generators systems.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical failures, leaks, and abnormal conditions.
• Review turbines efficiency and implement improvement measures.
•  Ensure availability of critical spares and materials for turbo generators maintenance.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures and industry standards.
• Lead commissioning, shutdown planning, execution, and maintenance activities etc.
• Coordinate with operations, electrical, and I&C team for integrated operation and maintenance.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on operation, inspections, breakdowns, and maintenance.
• Train and supervise junior staff, including assistants and technicians.

Educational Qualification and Work Experience

• Shall hold the minimum of B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Certification in steam turbines Operation & Maintenance (preferred)
• Minimum 15 years in steam turbines maintenance and operation in cogeneration or thermal power plants, with at least 7 years in a supervisory or lead engineer role.
